We’re looking for a smart, energetic and motivated team player to contribute to our Human Resources Benefits group as a Senior Analyst, Health and Welfare Plans in Richmond, VA. In this role, you will use your strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills to assist with key health and welfare plan initiatives, with primary responsibility for life insurance, long term disability, survivor income and voluntary benefits in a highly outsourced environment.

Specific accountabilities include:
• Working with carriers, administrators and actuaries on ongoing plan administration and annual valuation data reconciliations
• Addressing welfare plan data, participant and other issues
• Interfacing with other company departments on data integration, systems issues, payroll and related projects
• Supporting welfare plan strategy and communications development, performing analyses, identifying trends and proposing recommendations
• Producing periodic plan metric reporting and benchmarking
• Supporting other Benefits projects, including health plans, as needed

Specific Skills

Qualifications include:
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Minimum of 3 years of Benefits and/or Human Resources experience preferred
• Health and welfare benefits analytical and problem-solving skills preferred
• CEBS or other Benefits certification preferred
• Excellent Excel and written and verbal communications skills required
• Strong critical thinking, analytical, collaboration, influencing and project management skills
• Demonstrated use of innovative approaches to advance our total rewards strategy
• Understanding of effective vendor management principles and practices
• Ability to travel to company facilities and on other company business as needed (estimated 15% or less of time).
