We are currently seeking a highly qualified SAS Programmer to join our Clinical Operations department in Richmond, VA. The successful candidate will conduct SAS programming and analysis to support clinical studies of non-combustible tobacco products that have the potential to reduce harm.

Specific accountabilities include:

* Reviewing clinical study protocol, annotated case report forms and statistical analysis plan
* Reviewing TFLs (tables, figures and listings). Conducting SAS programming and analysis to verify key tables and figures
* Reviewing and approving Study Data Tabulation Model (SDTM) and Analysis Data Model (ADaM) datasets and related documents from contract research organizations (CROs)
* Creating SAS datasets for in-house post-hoc statistical analyses, using SAS data steps for large data processing, using dynamic data exchange between SAS and other window applications
* Conducting post-hoc or exploratory statistical analysis together and with guidance from project statistician
* Reviewing clinical study report for agreement between in-text tables and SAS tables

Specific Skills

Qualifications include:

* Master’s degree in a quantitative fields (e.g. biostatistics, biometrics, pyschometrics, statistics, computer sciences) with 2 + years of professional experience or Bachelor’s degree in a science field with 5 + years of professional experience
* Knowledge in life sciences, computer sciences and statistics / mathematics
* Knowledge of Good Clinical Practices, ICH guidelines and FDA regulations as applicable to clinical studies
* Knowledge and experience with MS Excel, SAS Basic, SAS/Graph , SAS Macro, SAS/Stat
* Knowledge of Clinical Data Interchange Standards Consortium (CDISC) and SDTM is desirable
* Knowledge and experience with at least one clinical databases such as Medidata, Oracle Clinical or eClinical OS is desirable
* Strong interpersonal skills
