Come join Nu Mark! We are currently seeking a high-performing Manager, Production Planning & Logistics to join our Nu Mark organization in Richmond, VA.

The Manager, Production Planning & Logistics will be a key member of our Central Planning Group managing and developing operational and logistical plans to meet domestic / export requirements and financial operating targets across numerous international and domestic manufacturing locations for Nu Mark LLC, Green Smoke LLC and affiliates.

What will you do?

* Developing and communicating mid-term cost-optimized operational production plans using computer modeling systems and equipment, manufacturing process and product knowledge.
* Developing and providing manufacturing targets and forecasts in a continuously changing environment.
* Balancing production capacity with factory capabilities, equipment, staffing, and quality system requirements to ensure all domestic and export production requirements are satisfied.
* Identifying and recommending resource changes to meet production demands, material costs and optimizing the supply chain to include managing import and export of goods globally.
* Developing product inventory levels in accordance with inventory and business continuity guidelines, marketing initiatives, and deployment strategies.
* Developing and communicating the optimal usage of manufacturing capacity, product allocations between facilities, and finished product inventories.
* Developing analyses and evaluations of alternatives to optimize operational performance. Creating and delivering formal presentation to senior management and facilitating communication of business objectives, operational performance and strategic plans.
* Collaboratively addressing opportunities with long range production plans while using supply chain knowledge to ensure required production changes are efficient in both the short and long terms.
* Performing in-depth capacity analyses in order to identify/resolve issues affecting the manufacturing and supply chain process.
* Disseminating production information (capacity projections, changes and impacts on production) to senior management and leading meetings with supply chain departments to discuss and address impacts.
* Recommending and leading the implementation of enhancements related to the production planning and supply chain process. Developing IT logistics planning tools and ensuring all systems meet supply chain objectives.

Specific Skills

What we Seek?

* A Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Engineering or Business. Project Management certification preferred.
* A minimum of seven years of experience in factory operations including maintenance practices, cigarette manufacturing equipment knowledge, and logistics planning.
* Excellent oral and written communications along with the ability to develop and deliver effective formal presentations to senior management.
* An in-depth knowledge of supply chain and financial policies and procedures.
* Problem solving experience in manufacturing applications, ideally including knowledge applied with manufacturing and packaging equipment.
* Highly developed skills in SAP, MMS, Excel and PowerPoint.
* The ability to accommodate occasional domestic and international travel.
