LET’S GET STARTED.

As a Finance/Accounting Intern you’ll have the chance to help Altria shape the future and deliver winning results in an exciting and dynamic time. During our 12-week, paid summer program, you’ll experience on-the-job training, access to mentors, planned social events with other Altria interns, educational opportunities and see all that Richmond has to offer. You’ll be challenged and empowered to:

• Own day-to-day responsibilities within your respective department. This may include performing assessments, analyses, compilations and closing procedures, identifying issues and proposing solutions with real-world impact.
• Work on a collaborative project with fellow interns to evaluate the current business environment and identify potential new business opportunities to enhance shareholder value creation. This project will allow you to interact with employees at all levels and within all departments of Finance, and then present a strategic recommendation to senior management.
• Interns are valued team members and are expected to innovate with courage, while championing diversity and inclusion.

Areas you will be immersed in may include: Corporate Audit, Tax, Accounting & Reporting, Financial Planning & Analysis, Treasury, Investor Relations, Corporate Planning, and Strategy and Business Development.
