LET’S GET STARTED.

As an Engineering Intern or Co-op you’ll have the chance to help Altria shape the future and deliver winning results in an exciting and dynamic time. You’ll experience on-the-job training, access to mentors and educational opportunities. You’ll be challenged and empowered to:

• Execute multiple real-world project tasks, as part of cross-functional teams • Assist in project scoping, scheduling, budgeting and troubleshooting

• Document project work in formal reports and present findings/ recommendations to senior management upon course completion

Note: Alternate Co-op participants will alternate semesters or terms working full-time with going to school full-time. During each rotation, the student is expected to work regularly scheduled workdays, or 40 hours per week.

Note: Parallel Co-op participants will work on a part-time basis during the school year while attending classes. The typical work week for a Parallel Co-op is approximately 15-20 hours.

Those completing the internship or co-op are considered for full-time positions and entrance into Altria’s Engineering Leadership Development Program (ELDP).

Specific Skills

To qualify, student applicants must be:

• Rising juniors or seniors in good academic standing (minimum 3.0 GPA required)

• Pursuing a relevant undergraduate Engineering degree program (Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, Computer, Chemical, Environmental and Civil)

• Strong communicators with strategic, analytical and creative thinking skills and demonstrated leadership initiative
