Are you looking for an opportunity to ensure compliance for a Fortune 200 company? Do you have a passion for investigations and compliance matters?

We are currently seeking a highly qualified candidate to join our Compliance and Integrity Department in Richmond, VA. This position is for someone capable of investigations and analysis, managing our conflicts of interest disclosure process and handling requests for guidance to ensure compliance with law, Altria’s Code of Conduct and company policy.

Specific responsibilities include:

• Investigating employment and compliance matters

• Managing the analysis and reporting process for aggregate investigations data and presenting results

• Assisting the Senior Manager, Compliance Investigations, with investigations and responses to inquiries from governmental agencies such as the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, Department of Labor, and state/local counterparts

• Assisting with the learning and development of other team members

• Managing our conflicts of interest disclosure process for employees, which includes analyzing the potential conflict of interest and recommending guidance as appropriate

• Staying abreast of employment laws and best practices for investigations

Specific Skills

Qualifications include:

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline, plus a minimum of five years of relevant investigation experience (preferably in a corporate setting)

• Strong analytical and communication (verbal and written) skills, with the ability to present ideas in a clear and concise manner

• Strong working knowledge of employment law and employment practices

• Ability to influence and provide guidance on investigations and employment related matters to all levels in the organization

• Ability to manage a demanding workload and meet deadlines

• Ability to engage and collaborate effectively with all levels in the organization

• Proficiency in standard computing programs, including suite of Microsoft office applications; Expertise in Microsoft Excel preferred

• Proficiency in administering case management systems preferred

• Ability to travel to company facilities and on other company business as needed (estimated 15% or less of time)
