We are currently seeking highly qualified Business Unit Leader to join our Hopkinsville operations. Specific accountabilities include: •Lead Natural Work Teams in understanding and translating functional or business strategies into tactical implementation plans within the business unit. •Allocate resources and staffing levels within the business unit to meet production, compliance, team and project requirements to achieve objectives or goals. •Seeks coaching opportunities with teams/individuals for performance improvement and administers reward, recognition and consequences when appropriate. •Develops and monitors key, actionable measures with team members to link business unit performance to factory/manufacturing-wide objectives or strategy. •Coordinates production and planned activities of business unit with team members and support resources to meet established schedules and assure effective execution of work processes. •Develops and shares relevant information to support problems solving and process improvement efforts of Natural Work Teams in line with key measures, business goals, and strategic initiatives. •Oversight of facilities day-to-day operations, including documentation of workforce (i.e. attendance records, employee training, time cards, performance appraisals, etc.), quality, productivity, safety, environmental, housekeeping and compliance. •Interaction with support organizations including: Quality Assurance, Safety, Leaf Procurement, Finance Decision Support, Human Resources, Information Services, etc. •Responsible for quality requirements relating to FDA regulations, ISO 9001, deviation investigations, QMS documents (work instructions, forms, etc.), corrective and preventive actions, and batch acceptance.

Specific Skills

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in technical/business fields; Three years supervisory experience/equivalent in an FDA regulated facility; Familiarity with the principles/concepts of Quality Management Systems. •Demonstrated ability to effectively coach and lead employees in a team-based environment. •Demonstrated ability to balance multiple and changing priorities and make decisions using independent judgment under time constraints with minimal supervision when required. •Ability to draw on knowledge and experience to resolve problems, identify needs, and apply logic/deductive reasoning to develop and implement lasting solutions. •Ability to negotiate and build consensus for resource needs, problem solving and solutions with peers, subordinates and management through networks within and beyond the business unit department. •General computer skills with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs. •General budgeting/accounting principles •Excellent written and verbal communication skills •Excellent interpersonal skills •Physical requirements include: the ability to easily move about an industrial facility, including, but not limited to, working in tight or confined spaces, working at higher elevations, climbing multiple stairs, working in dusty environments, working at temperature extremes (hot and cold) and humid conditions, and the ability to perform some lifting, carrying, pushing, shoveling, and general housekeeping activities. •Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative environment with multiple customers and varied needs.
