US Smokeless Tobacco Company’s role is to responsibly manufacture and market its brands to adult tobacco consumers. We are currently seeking a highly qualified Millwright to join our Manufacturing plant in Nashville, Tennessee.
The successful candidates will be expected to fabricate, install, repair, maintain, dismantle, adjust, and assemble industrial machinery and supporting equipment in accordance with drawings, diagrams, sketches, operational manuals and manufacturer’s specifications and related documentation. The machinery and mechanical equipment will include engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines and presses. Millwrights also actively and continuously support process improvement initiatives in a team-based environment.
Specific Skills Qualified applicants will:
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Be eligible to work in the U.S. and for the Altria family of companies
- Possess millwright and welding credentials
- Minimum of (7) years work experience as an industrial Millwright.
- Have strong safety orientation
- Have excellent problem solving abilities
- Have strong communication skills
- Have a high degree of initiative and conscientiousness
- Have the ability to help our team drive innovation
- Have the ability to assemble, align and install machines and equipment using hoists, booms, jacks, dollies and measurement and alignment devices
- Have the ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, schematics and equipment manuals
- Have demonstrated expertise in the use of measuring tools, hand tools and power tools
- Have demonstrated proficiency in welding mild steel, stainless and aluminum utilizing Heliaric-Stic-Mig and Oxyacetylent techniques as well as a cutting torch
