Altria Client Services’ role is to provide high quality services to the Altria family of companies. We are currently seeking highly qualified undergraduate summer interns to join our Information Services department in Richmond, VA.
Our 10-12 week undergraduate summer intern program provides students the opportunity to participate in on-the-job training, access to mentors, planned social events, and educational opportunities. Students will document their project work in a formal report and/or presentation at the conclusion of the program.
As an Information Services undergraduate summer intern with Altria Client Services, the student will be assigned to a specific area within Information Services for purposes of learning, assessment, and ultimate contribution.
Projects may include: • Business analysis • Project support • Application development • Support and desktop applications Specific Skills To qualify for the undergraduate summer internship program, students must be enrolled as a rising junior or senior in good academic standing at the time of the internship and working toward a degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or Business. A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 is strongly preferred.
We are looking for students who possess strong strategic thinking, verbal communication, written communication, and presentation skills. The incumbents must be technologically savvy and highly proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Products. In addition, successful candidates must demonstrate leadership, initiative, and accountability.
Candidates must pass a drug-screen and background check prior to employment. Pay for an intern position is commensurate based on the student’s academic level in school and experience. A Housing Allowance is available for students who qualify.
