Altria Client Services’ role is to provide high quality services to the Altria family of companies. We are currently seeking a highly qualified Attorney to join our Law Department at our Center for Research and Technology in Richmond, VA.
The successful candidate will provide comprehensive legal support to Altria Client Services and Altria Group’s operating companies, including Philip Morris USA, US Smokeless Tobacco LLC and John Middleton Inc., primarily in support of brand integrity initiatives. Specific accountabilities include:
* Advising on legal/regulatory obligations
* Managing issues associated to contraband and illicit activity in the distribution of tobacco products
* Reviewing and revising educational materials, presentations, fact sheets and other communication vehicles
* Reviewing and revising contracts, projects agreements, and other business documents
* Managing outside counsel, including project management, effective budgeting and proper allocation of resources
Specific Skills Qualified applicants will:
* Be a licensed U.S. Attorney and a member of, or eligible for, the VA Bar
* Possess a minimum of eight years of experience practicing law in firm, corporate and/or government position(s)
Experience in representing clients in any of the following areas is a plus:
* Cigarette Industry
* A Regulated Industry
* Criminal law
* Interactions with Law Enforcement Agencies
