Altria Client Services’ role is to provide high quality services to the Altria family of companies. We are currently seeking a highly qualified Senior Financial Analyst to support our John Middleton subsidiary. This position will be located at the John Middleton headquarters in Limerick, PA, approximately 35 miles northwest of Philadelphia.
The successful candidate will perform complex business assignments to include, systems implementations, special projects, financial accounting and analysis, business process evaluations, and financial control or compliance assessments. Specific accountabilities include:
* Executing monthly closings, financial statement compilations, account reconciliations * Performing complex business case analyses, identifying potential solutions, and obtaining management approval for implementation * Interacting with internal and external parties regarding all financial matters, including financial planning/analysis, budgeting, internal controls, compliance, and accounting issues * Participating in and providing leadership to cross functional projects * Providing training and guidance to junior team members * Identifying business changes or improvement solutions and executing related accounting process changes * Compiling, analyzing and recording financial information and proactively identifying and communicating risks and opportunities * Participating in the development of components of the department's annual game plan
Specific Skills Qualifications include:
* A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, plus a minimum of five years of relevant experience. Experience in manufacturing environments is critical. * A thorough understanding of the relationships between processes, systems and accounting flow * Excellent communication and consulting skills * The ability to work independently and with minimal supervision * Demonstrated knowledge of financial and office software * Well developed ability to identify and articulate accounting, financial control, financial analysis and budgeting issues * The ability to accommodate frequent travel to corporate headquarters in Richmond, VA.
