Altria Consumer Engagement Services’ role is to execute consumer engagement programs and design/communicate retail promotion plans for Altria’s tobacco companies. We are currently seeking a highly qualified Wrangler to join our Crazy Mountain Ranch department in Clyde Park, Montana.
The successful candidate will be a physically active, customer service oriented individual with strong western equestrian background. This position will provide adequate time for training, and familiarity with horses and trails prior to interaction with guests.
Key Accountabilities Include:
• Wrangling, grooming, bridling, saddling, guiding guests on trail rides, giving instruction on basic horsemanship, riding problem horses, driving teams, performing barn and tack maintenance, trail maintenance, fencing and general ranch chores.
• Conversing with guests about the horses, Crazy Mountain Ranch, and local flora and fauna
• Wranglers should always be safety conscientious as safety is the first priority at the ranch.
• Each Wrangler will have the opportunity for certification as Seasonal Equestrian Staff, after being trained by the staff at CMR.
• Wranglers are expected to work 8-10 hour days from May until mid October.
Specific Skills Qualifications Include:
• Previous agricultural or dude ranch backgrounds of three to five years experience.
• Must be able to get on and off a horse with ease
• Applicants must be ability to lift/move up to 50lbs.
• Applicants must possess a valid driver’s license and be 21 years of age or older.
• Applicants must be a team player and demonstrate good communication, interpersonal and collaborative leadership skills.
• High School or Trade School Diploma or equivalent is required for this position.
Wranglers maybe eligible for free room and board while working on the ranch.
