As an R&D Engineering co-op with Altria Client Services, the student will have an opportunity to gain “hands-on” engineering experience in a fast-paced R&D and/or manufacturing environment. This position is a feeder pool for our Engineering Leadership Development Program (ELDP). Upon successful completion of your co-op assignment, you may be considered for permanent employment and entry into this program.

• scheduling, budgeting and serving as an engineering resource during project start-ups
• checkouts and troubleshooting
• mechanical design and prototyping to develop creative product solutions
• PLC and PC based programming for new equipment and/or investigating alternative process system techniques and applications
Specific Skills To qualify for the co-op program, the student must be in good academic standing at his/her university and enrolled as a rising junior or senior in a relevant undergraduate degree program at the time of the co-op assignment.
